Somatic psychotherapy
Talk therapy and body awareness together, for trauma, anxiety, burnout, ADHD and neurodivergence, relationships, emotional overwhelm and reconnecting with yourself.
Somatic psychotherapy, yoga therapy, classes and community with Charli Grace, for the messy, tender and joyful seasons of being human.
We move through seasons of growth, change, rest and renewal. Sometimes we’re ready to spread our wings; other times, we’re cocooning, finding our footing or sitting in the mud puddle, unsure of what comes next.
Beginnings, possibility and taking the first steps, even when we don’t know what comes next.
Exploring, learning, nourishing ourselves and meeting life through curiosity and play.
Retreating, resting and processing, letting change happen beneath the surface, even when it looks like nothing is happening.
Navigating change and uncertainty, and discovering new parts of ourselves.
Aliveness, connection, freedom and joy. Not a final destination, but moments of feeling connected to ourselves and the world around us.
Because we don’t have to be in bloom to be exactly where we need to be.
I believe healing isn’t linear, and we don’t need to rush ourselves through the difficult parts. My work is about meeting you where you are, making space for all that you are, and gently reconnecting with yourself, others and the things that bring you joy.

Spaces to come together around connection, embodiment, play and joy, because we don’t have to navigate everything alone.
A shared offering Tayla and I facilitate together, focused on burnout, nervous system support, movement, rest and sustainable wellbeing.

Somatic psychotherapy explores the relationship between the mind and body, and how our experiences and relationships shape the way we feel, respond and move through the world. Rather than only talking about what’s happening, we also notice what’s happening in the body: sensations, emotions, nervous system responses and patterns.
My approach is trauma-informed, embodied and relational, at a pace that feels right for you. It’s a collaborative process, never me telling you how to fix yourself. The aim isn’t only to cope or survive, but to feel more connected to yourself, your relationships and the things that bring you joy.
Even the weeks you’re feeling good are valuable. You’re more resourced, so we can go even deeper into the real work. Trauma reprocessing comes later, once safety and trust are well established. That’s why I offer packs of five sessions.
Many of the people I work with have ADHD or are neurodivergent. Together we build practical, body-based ways to regulate the nervous system, so you have more of your own tools to draw on, alongside whatever support you and your doctor decide is right for you.

We heal in relationship, not in isolation.
Individual therapy can be incredibly valuable, and there’s also something powerful about being witnessed, understood and connected with others who are navigating their own experiences.
That’s what draws me to group work, women’s circles and community offerings: spaces where people can feel a sense of belonging, share experiences and remember they’re not alone in what they’re going through.
Gatherings and workshops →Slide to where you are today. Both ends are the nervous system doing what it learned to do. Neither is wrong. The moment of noticing is the moment choice becomes available.
Present, connected and able to choose how you respond.

Come and practise with me at Tender Place. My Yinyasa classes blend slow, grounding yin with gentle flow, a space to soften, breathe and come home to your body.
“I have been attending Charli’s yoga classes and somatic events for the past year. Charli’s depth of knowledge, experience and genuine passion for her work shine through in the way she facilitates each session. She thoughtfully weaves together movement, breathwork and somatic practices, drawing on a range of traditions and cultural influences to create experiences that feel both grounding and enriching. She has a natural ability to create a space where you feel safe, supported and held, allowing you to slow down, tune into your body and reconnect with yourself. Her approach feels considered, inclusive and deeply embodied, and I always leave her sessions feeling more grounded, connected and at ease. I would highly recommend Charli’s classes and workshops to anyone looking to deepen their relationship with themselves through movement and embodied practice.”
“Hands down the best class I have ever been to. If you can see Charli, please do it.”

Hi, I’m Charli. My background is in nursing and health promotion, and I also studied naturopathy, which deepened my interest in a holistic understanding of health. Yoga, meditation and breathwork have long been part of my life, and over time these threads came together in somatic psychotherapy.
My own healing journey has been anything but linear. After living with and recovering from C-PTSD, I tried everything: every modality, practitioner and quick fix I could find, always looking outside myself for the answer. What I eventually realised was that the tools were within me all along, in my relationship with my body, my emotions and the people around me. Somatic therapy, yoga and community became the heart of that, and they changed how I understand healing.
I’m also neurodivergent, and I’ve chosen to support my own nervous system through somatics, yoga and connection. That lived experience shapes how I sit with every client. I haven’t just studied this work, I’ve lived it, and I know how much it matters to be met with understanding rather than judgement.
In 2025 I taught yoga and meditation in Sumba, Morocco and Spain, and trained in Mexico, Nepal and Byron Bay. The places, teachers and communities I’ve learnt from shape how I work: curious, grounded and connected to nature, movement and people.
Play is where we live. We don’t have to wait until we’re completely healed to enjoy our lives.
